Start with the project scope
Give a short overview of the work: a building project, industrial maintenance, an event or another access requirement. Describe the area needing scaffolding and what the team will do there. Include the site address and how equipment reaches the work area.
You do not need every specification ready before making contact. State what is known and what still needs assessment. Reference photographs or drawings can help explain facade dimensions, obstacles and the relationship between work areas.
Tell us which service you need
Specify rental, purchase, contracting or event access. For equipment hire, describe the system and quantity if known. For purchase, include an existing system name or component list where available.
If you need contracting support, say whether planning, erection, modifications and dismantling are part of the request. For events, describe the purpose of the stage, platform or tower. For mobile access, explain where work takes place and whether it moves between positions.
Set out your project timeline
Give the intended start date and how long access is likely to be needed. Mention installation phases, periods when the scaffold may be unused and the expected completion date. An event brief should include build, rehearsal, live event and removal dates.
Include delivery windows, working hours and restrictions on unloading or storage. If dates are provisional, identify them as estimates so the quotation does not depend on an assumed programme.
Add useful reference information
Have photographs, drawings or a bill of quantities ready if available. The online enquiry form collects the project summary; ask the team for the appropriate document-sharing channel for reference files.
Include the contact person who can answer site questions. For occupied premises, describe access restrictions, ongoing activities and any coordination required with building management or other contractors.
Your quote request checklist
Before sending, check that your message includes the project type and site location, rental or sales or contracting requirement, start date and expected duration, work-area description and available reference material.
Ask the quotation to identify equipment, transport, installation responsibilities, collection or delivery terms and any information still needed. A clear first brief gives the team a practical starting point for the next conversation.
